I do not stress the words "single mother" because I want pity, on the contrary; I stress the words "single mother" to show people that anyone can do anything they want as long as they are determined! I ask that you find that one thing within yourself or your children that will motivate you to do all you can do. I did, my children motivate me every day but my son is my true inspiration and I am so grateful for him. As I write in this blog I will share all my wonderful experiences with you as a single mother, a determined mother...it has not been peaches and cream but it has been an amazing challenge.

  1. A Single Mother Doesn’t Know Defeat

    Another day of kicking ass,
    Of waking up with pride.
    She drives herself to work,
Smiling at the her she’s left behind.

    Another day of dreaming,
    Reconnecting with her soul.
She spreads her wings to fly,
Peace of mind is her goal.

    Another day of victories,
One foot in front of the other.
She sows the seeds of paradise
From her strength as a mother.

When the moon shines bright inside her lair,
    Another day complete,
She holds her children close with care.
A single mother who doesn’t know defeat.

Her heart aches with love and joy,
    As she begins to pray.
    She walks an unknown path,
    Grateful for every single day.

Not sure who wrote this poem but I wanted to share this with you and your followers.

  2. I have to agree with you. College is certainly not as important as our society today has made it out to be. High education is part of a money making, broader societal misconception about human happiness. LOL. I don't feel like going to college is going to make your life happier nor is it going to guarantee that you will be successful in life. I do believe that going to college could possible increase the likelihood of a positive outcome but the some are left with financial issues, like myself. Providing for your family and being happy is a great way to view life. Therefore, one must be able to make those decisions on their own, not everyone view life values and happiness the same.

  3. You are correct, values and happiness are viewed in so many different ways and therefore individuals must find exactly what makes them happy. Follow your own dreams, see yourself as you want to see yourself, not as others want to see you. That alone can make you happy!

    Thank you for sharing!
